Vojtěch carved puppets and played puppet theater since his childhood, later he worked in woodcarving professionally. Many puppet theaters all over Bohemia played with his puppets. His puppets are characterized by a specific expression that expresses not only the character itself, but also their emotional mood. They are known for their slender heads with detailed face carvings. They can have a stubborn expression due to wrinkled eyebrows and numerous sharp wrinkles. The whole body is perfectly anatomically hand-carved to a professional standard. This Hercules comes from the private collection of Rudolf Helebrant.
