Awesome Czech marionette character Mánička

 
Manicka´s first play was Hurvínek´s Spring Revue which was premiered in April 1930 (since April 30, 1930 it has been performed under the name Shotgun Revue). The first actor to perform the role of Manicka was Anna Kreuzmannová. After trying several designs, the figure of Manicka designed by Zdenek Jurena proved to be the best and has been used until the present.

Wow!!! Worldwide these are the best marionettes, and truly represent a culture which has been the leader in puppetry-craft since its inception.....
